A BIT ABOUT US
Samano Family Cellars was founded by and currently owned by John & Megan Samano. A native of Southern California, John has lived all of his life in the Inland Empire. John is not a stranger to the wine industry. He grew up watching his father farm, manage and cultivate vineyards in the American Viticultural Areas (AVA) of Rancho Cucamonga and Temecula Valley.
As a teenager, John spent all of his summers working at a Temecula vineyard. Attention to detail was a key element of his work and where he developed an appreciation for maintaining a quality vineyard. John knew that in order to make good wines, it is very important to have a good grape-growing process.
After graduating high school in 1988, John began a career in law enforcement. As John moved through various assignments, he learned it was important to have a skill set that developed rapport and good communication with people.
John reentered the wine industry working with vineyard owners and wineries throughout the state, where he applied his knowledge and skill set. Through the professional and personal friendships he established with other winemakers, wine enthusiasts and wine consumers, John learned that pride and passion are key to a successful wine business.
In 2012 John and Megan created Samano Family Cellars and launched their virtual winery. Under the Los Padrinos brand which was co-owned by Michael Perea, John established a partnership with 4 California wineries that are known for producing premium quality wines. Through those partnerships Los Padrinos released a 2012 vintage Moscato as its first finished wine. Moscato became an overnight success and it was immediately followed by the release of a 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon.
Samano Family Cellars journey continues today with different wines being released each season. Our delicious wines can be found on our internet store, select restaurants in the Inland Empire and through
private event tastings . John wants you to know that a glass of Samano Family Cellars wine begins with a delicate bouquet and ends with a balance of flavor and complexity.
